On behalf of the Polymer Processing Society (PPS), Polymer Processing Academy (PPA) and the local organizing committee, it is our pleasure to invite you to the Asia Australia Regional Meeting of Polymer Processing Society, PPS-2023, to be held at Uday Samudra Kovalam, Kerala, India during 29th November – 2nd December 2023. The objective of the conference is to foster exchange of developments and innovations in Polymer Engineering related areas. A galaxy of international polymer scientists are invited to deliver lectures.

The PPS Meetings are leading conferences in the field of Polymer Science & Engineering and attract internationally renowned scientists, engineers and designers. The goals of the Society, as embodied in its constitution are to foster scientific understanding and technical innovation in polymer processing by providing a discussion forum. The thematic range of the PPS encompasses all formula on, conversion and shaping operations applied to polymeric systems and their transformation to commercial products with attractive properties.

We are indeed privileged that a PPS Conference will be held in India for the 4th time. We were fortunate to host three PPS Meetings in India – the 8th Annual PPS in 1992 at Delhi, the 25th PPS in 2009 at Goa and the PPS Regional Meetings in 2013 at Mumbai. All these Conferences were highly successful in terms of participants on and quality of technical presentations. The Executive Committee decided to hold the PPS Regional Meeting in India in 2023 on account of enhanced research activities and growth of polymer industry in the country. The experience of PPS Conferences motivated us to take the polymer processing activities in India to greater heights with active interaction between the Academia and the Industry, which culminated in the establishment of the Polymer Processing Academy (PPA) in 2011 with support and guidance from eminent
personalities and industry stalwarts.

The scientific program of PPS-2023 will include plenary and invited lectures, contributed oral talks as well as oral and poster presentations from academia and industry. There will be an effort for the strong participations on of industry since it is our belief that the close collaboration between Universities, Research Institutes and Industry is the key for technological advancement.

Such a conference will be very beneficial to students and their active participants on will be encouraged.
